Mac OSX 10.4.x and new MacPro (Dual Xeon)

Recently found installers problem with new MacPro (Dual Xeon 3gHz) reported by different people.

Symptoms: Installing applications problem. When you running installers that requires user authentication, you will get message about insufficient privileges even you logged in as admin account or single user on comp. When trying to update Mac`s firmware no react for Shutdown button, while "Cancel" works and aborting process so you`re unable to update. And some other processes those requires user login confirmation or authorization.

Problem: Pre-installed version of Tiger is wrong for this Mac.

Solution: You must reinstall OS X form disks supplied with this Mac Pro. You may choose install with preserving user data and setting. Erasing not necessary. After succesfull reinstalling system, first download firmware update, update your firmware (if it will work fine it will confirm that everything now works correctly). Then you may download and apply all available updates for your OS.

P.S. Was hard to define problem because everything seems to work unless you try to install something (especialy with VISE (TM) installers. Strange, but even in this situation some installers works- at least Adobe CS2 installs with no problems.

CoolerMaster Cosmos II and Corsair H115i Pro installation and tips.

Searching for the better way to install this liquid cooling system, Corsair H115i Pro,  in my Cosmos II case, I found the most efficient and quiet way. At first sight, there should be no obstacles with this since this case has an option to install 140 mm fans on top of this.  Since  H115i Pro is closed loop system, so the only way is to install the radiator beneath the top side of the case and put fans outside on top. First of all, I suggest to cut out holes on the top side for better airflow of 140 mm fans, By the way, Cooler Master in their Neptune case they made a grill instead of fan holes - so you can use 140 mm full power! So I cut out to extend the fan holes for larger fans. This makes fans work more efficient and as a result lower fans speed. I kept screw holes for 120 mm fans in case if I someday will change cooling system.    You could not install fans on radiator inside since additional power connectors on most motherboards ( at least on Asus boards)
